Hey guys I'm fairly new to the dsm world. I have a 95 gst. EVO 16g turbo front mount and supporting mods. And need a tune bad. I live around grand haven area. Anyone have the equipment to help me out? Would help me out so much.

Yea first you need a wideband not a digital air/fuel gauge. that will help trumendously. Secondly you need some sort of tuning device wether it be a standalone, ECMlink, or theres a couple floating around out there. Someone cant just tune a car with a regular stock ecu with mods.

Once you have those things then there are a couple of places (down south that is) that can help.

What's a good wideband to get and where to get one? And if your in the area at all do you have esmlink

Well ill work on getting the wideband and after that would you be interested in getting me dialed in for some cash. I just dont wanna wreck this car over not being tuned

Forgot to mention probably the best place to get one is EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts And it desnt work that way. ECMlink is a chip that you are able to plug and play with. The chip goes inside your ECM. If I were to dial you in with my ECM that has the ECMlink chip in it, the second I take my ECM back home with me your tune will be lost. Read up on this ECMTuning, Inc. and I hope that helps more.

One more thing. I'm going from a stop like normal shift out of first into second and mash it to do a second gear pull. Boost hits and it screams. Than about 5500rpms comes around and it all the pull suddenly stops and my car rocks like you miss a shift....it scares me LOL. I have no idea what it would be. Once again no wideband. But was just I formed by the guy I got it from it was tuned by a shop in Illinois for 24 psi. Supposedly has dsmlink. Also he told me it had launch control would that have anything to do with it

Launch control would have nothing to do with the symtems your describing. Its either fuel cut or spark blow out. Take the ECM out and open it and take pics and post them here so we can verify if it has DSMlink or not. And going to IL seems like a long way from Grand Haven to get a tune. Plus I dont know of any shop that would tune with out a wideband as thats a key item to measure your tune with so to speak.

Yes if you get a wideband and a SAFC if you want then tune it you will be alright. And thats a normal stock ECU with NO DSMLink (or ECMLink, samething just called different things at times). And theres not really any meets around here either.

okay cool. tuning pretty easy with a apexi safc?

yeah we only have a few and its nothing special. not many dsm's maybe just an evo or two LOL..
