tune up

If he's just stock, get the 6's and gap them at .028". done.

And do your base timing as well for plugs and wires is only half the tuneup.

True, BPR6ES, gapped at .028 . But, I cheat: I use BPR6EY (grooved electrode to give a rounder spark and it give me a bit more bump...)

Mitsu has some nice stock wires you can use.

Stock gap is .028-.032. Mine are gapped at .020 but that's because the amount of boost i run.

I bought the car a few weeks ago it has a 16g, 255 walbro fuel pump, 550cc injectors, arp head studs, ect running stock boost I want to turn the boost up, but do all the maintenance first. The plugs were bad and also the wires. I change them out and gaped them to .25. At 4000RPMs it spiders. It was doing that before so I change the plugs and wires to see if that would fix it. Need help to fix this problem. Any ideas?

Do you have any way to tune for the 550's or at least a 2g MAF?

I have a safc controller, data logger, but need new usb,not sure about the 2g maf. Was also thinking I need a tune maybe? So I was looking at dsm link

There are people who do remote tuning on this site rather than geting dsm link i.e. ecm link. Chips are damn near the same and most of what is on ecm link can be done on a chip not all but most. First you would need a Eprom ECU to use either ecm link or a chip. I assume since you have a safc that your ecu is not Eprom. Pop your ecu out and check to see if it is in fact an Eprom.

Definitely get a Wideband sensor like stated above. Innovative MTX-L wideband is a good one and is compatible with ecm link and works great for me.

Alright I'll check it out

dsm link and wideband and you will be set ..Does the 255 have the re wire also?

I don't think it was re wired and my wideband is my air/fuel ratio gage?

A wideband is an A/F ratio gauge that has it's own sensor and gives a digital readout of the exact A/F ratio. A narrowband ties into the existing O2 sensor which gives a very limited readout meant to be read by the ECU.

Yeah I have one. When I used the safc controller I fixed everything to make it run good ### it was running lean. My numbers are now 14.7 a cruise speed, but when I get on the gas a little it moves to 9.0 to 11. At high rpm it runs like crap. I also do have a 2g maf
