tsi idle surge

My tsi idle surge really bad.Two nite it reved to 6000rpms and stayed there it runs a engine temp almost right away.What could my promble be ive search and no luck I did unplug the sensor right below my biss serw idle fine then back up.Sounds cammed and its not what is wrong.

Do a boost leak test , sounds like you have massive boost leak some where.

I did im holding that dont explain idle surge or why free reving to 6000rpms and holding and why it sounds cammed.

A big boost leak can cause that. I Put my TB gasket on wrong (not paying attention and rushing) it was doing what your car is doing. Did ohm test the iac

No I did not unpluged no change if I had s boost leak my boost would not hold and I did a smoke test one leak hose from intake to valve cover but fixed im so pissed lot of time and money in this 6bolt swap would a burnt valve do this did use the head of my gst with a melted piston I have a new 6bolt head to put on it.

When you drove your car did in not want to stop just keep going scared to start it no cause idle sohso high

What is your compression on all cylinders? You probably have to have your valves laped.

Do a wet test on that cylinder and let me know what you get.

I also recommed doing a leak down test to see if the air is leaking past your rings. Have the oil dip stick out when you do this so you can hear the air pasting through the rings to the oil pan. If you dont hear anything, Listen to the exhast and intake to see if you can hear any air leaking there.

Cant took head off putting new one on.its the same promble last motor had with this head

When I bought my Gsx I had a lazy cylinder so I threw in a block o had and same problem. It ended up being intake valves, in the process of putting a new head from graveyard on (yea I know but it was cheap). Let us know how it goes.

On a side note it sounds like your idle switch is not working correctly because your car should not be able to idle over 2500 with butterfly in closed position because ecu should cut fuel. Sounds like ecu doesn't know your not on the gas.

I would start with the idle switch on the throttle body then check your tps. There are some good write ups on the tps and idle surge.
