OKay so heres the story. I bought a 1995 Talon Tsi Fwd about 3 months ago, 102K on the car. Car pushes around 305whp. I drove it for about a week when the tranny started making this weird noise. The tranny would chattering noise. The only time the chattering would go away was is I pushed the clutch in. Eventually second gear went and would just grind when I put it into gear. I bought another tranny with 60K on it, About a week later the same exact thing happened. So this time I figured I'd get it rebuilt and sure enough the tranny starts chattering again. It does it in every gear, but second is WAY louder. Currently on this tranny is goes into gears fine and has no troubles, but the noise. I have the first transmission, I was planning on taking it apart and looking at it (never done it so..) When I turn the input shaft on it, it will turn then lock up and does this for every gear. I have an act2100 in it, got the flywheel checked out, put new motor mounts in, checked tranny fluid all the time, and have not put more then 2500miles on the car and went through 3 trannies...What gives? Maybe I am missing something. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Tranny's aren't cheap.
