ok sounds werid but i have heard you can run a tsi exhaust on a 420a. Well if that is true we have a tsi parts car who would love to donate. My question is it true you can if so are there any gains out of it and has anyone done this who could point me in the right road. :aha:

It's doable, but only the portion after the cat, the stock catback. Gains will be minimal but it will sound better without a doubt.

I have a gst exhaust on my 420a, so the above comments are right. whether or not it sounds better, I can't say. I did the entire exhaust at once.

Ah I'm glad the others chimed in. I forgot that it will only work if it's coming off of a FWD TSI. An AWD one will not work.

With a stock 420a, a 3" will kill your tourqe. I made mine with 2.5" from the cat back. And i still have plenty of get up and go.. Also sounds wicked, unlike these hondassssssssssssss around here. HAHAHA

The stock 2g GST and TSI FWD exhaust is a great choice for upgrading an N/T 2g. Piping is about 2 1/4in and has a nice dual tipped muffler. No need to go bigger unless you plan on going turbo. The sound isn't much of a difference stock N/T vs stock GST/TSI FWD turbo exhaust but there will be performance gains from the larger piping. If its sound you are looking for then hack off the turbo muffler and weld any one of the gazzillion performance mufflers out there. Might be some clips on you-tube if you are looking to hear some of the different mufflers out there.

really thats sweet :D i just wanted to make sure . As this is my first 420a always had the 4g63t . So i can only use the piping form the catback. Right anyone have done this already that could give any pointers

It's literally the same everything minus the muffler. As long as both cars are FWD.

ok ya that is what i thought. And ya they are both fwd so i will be a tesi beast LOL. thanks for the adivce fellow dsmers good to no that . we can help out each other instead of tearing each other apart like the honda boys . LOL
