trying to stop engine smoking. Need Help!!!!!!!

I have a 1990 talon turbo. I bought the car the car not running and all it needed was an ecu to make it run. But now I'm having a problem with it smoking. It only smokes at idle and it gets worse with a load, like having ac on. Help please. Thanks in advance.

get some smoke away or maybe the car already has lung cancer. would be nice if you did some simple checks, compression etc etc. or better yet let us just guess cuz every motor smokes for the same problem.

by what you said i have it narrowed to about 5 things



rememeber vague question = vague diagnosis

we did do a compression test and it came out great. About 160 across all 4 cylinders.
We think it to be either turbo seals or valve seals or ?

valve seals most likely if the compression tests were fine

doubt turbo seals if it only does it at idle
