So I bought a 2ga with a NON recirculated RFL BOV :ohdamn:. It's obnoxious and it's getting in the way of tuning my car to perfection! The short ram intake is unfortunately also not the correct one for recirculating.

I am about to buy a new intake tube from a dsmtuner from the classifieds and asked him to take pics.
They look they have the same welded pipes.

Could you guys let me know whether or not this intake pipe will support the recirculated hose?

I assume the bottom right tube in the 2nd pic goes to the BOV but mine has a similar hose that goes to something below the battery. Could you guys also identify what my current intake is connecting to under my battery? I'll try to get pics under my hood tomorrow if the question isn't clear or answered by then.

side note: I know will have to buy the adapter so that I'm not utilizing the original horn ($70)!

If I find that the bov is still leaking (due to the diaphragm-less design, which other DSM'ers have had issues with) then I will switch to an ol' reliable 1g bov.

Thanks for the help guys!

^^ Hes right. That hose goes to the EVAP canister under the battery. Then theres another one that should come from the valve cover and another from the factory boost control solenoid..

Just a question though, how is the BOV being obnoxiously loud getting in the way of the tune?! A buddy of mine had an RFL on his car years ago so I know how loud they are! LOL

Haha yeah the noise doesn't do anything to the tune but the BOV makes me run RICH! (bad) I'm going to take the horn attachment and strap a kazoo to it so I can screw it back on when I'm feeling especially silly. I was laughing so hard at work earlier today when I pulled up this vid.

Hopefully Im not breaking a rule by posting this vid, I didn't see anything against it in the rules.
