I tried searching for this and couldn't find it anywhere....

I took on doing a swap for my friend because no one in my area wants to work on his car. I put a 2g into his 97 Talon. I finished up everything mechanical and moving on to the electrical portion. But I came across a plug that I do not know what it is. I have a spark issue with the 1 & 4 coilpack but have traced that to the CAS. It would really help to know what this plug is. Pic

I also ordered a J pipe from RRE. Will I still have the issue of the I/C piping hitting the fan? If so I plan on trimming the fan.

you said you are swapping a 2g into a 97 talon.. that doesnt make any sense to me as to what that means... more info please.

Sorry about the bumping, I am just used to doing this on other forums.

I didn't clarify well enough, What I swapped in is a JDM Evo 3 motor.
I swapped the intake manifold over, getting ready to swap the cams from the usdm motor over for 2 reasons. One is to use the 2g CAS ( which I have had a hard time figuring out) & the other is because they are HKS, Not sure on the durations though. I ordered the j pipe & 90 elbow from RRE so I should be done in a week or so.

Thats what I was thinking originally. My first thought was that it was probably a 1g type cam sensor plug. So I was planning on getting a plug and doing the wiring. As it turned out the guy wanted his cams switched anyway. Switching the cams lets me use his 2g CAS. I am just waiting for his parts to come in from RRE. I am crossing my fingures hoping this all works out. I also ordered a cam tensioner tool from RRE because the mitsu dealer here didn't know what I was talking about and their mechanic said just to zip tie the cam sprockets to the timing belt and not to worry about the tensioner. But I am following RRE's method of doing the cam swap and so I am waiting for the part.
