Ok heres my story. I have an aftermarket radio(Pioneer). So I am driving to class, and listening to some random cd I had in my car. All of sudden I see a spark come from the face of my radio, and a little smoke appears; and radio shuts off. I automatically take off the face.
I am just a block from my school; so I park my car,and turn the car off. I take apart the radio off and see if there was burnt marking on the back, like I possibly I had forgot to tape a wire. I do not find anything. I believe something burnt internal. I don't think it is a fuse, because in my time I have never seen a fuse spark and smoke; but I could be wrong. I haven't checked the fuses, because I had ten minutes to get to class. I will check them out tomorrow in the morning and post back results then.
I am trying to figure out what happen here. I still have the old stock radio, but I don't want to put that radio on until I find out what happpen to this radio. Until the mean time I just unhooked the radio from its harness.
Can anyone tell me where to start looking for any problems??
