Trunk Questions (options from factory and what not!)

My current GSX has soo much my older 2g's never had. But one thing I'm interested in finding out is what those square holes are in the floor board of the trunk. There is one on each side. My other 2g's never had those holes. Anyone got pictures of what this function is? Also Stock Net? Pictures? Where could I locate one?
