I just tried the BISS asjustment faq http://www.vfaq.com/mods/BISS-1G.html by grounding both the terminals, and tried to start the car. It sounded like it was going to start for a second then just didnt. I heard no noise of the engine trying to start, just rapid clicking from the rear of the car as well as from the ECU. What the hell just happened?

Ive also been experiencing symptoms of the car dieing or stalling (all the lights flash up on the guage cluster), but this happens while I am a little bit through a turn. Each time it has happened the car has not been in neutral and the clutch pedal has not been depressed. It happens around 2-3k rpm and about while the steering wheel is at 8 or 4 o'clock (dpending on if you turn right or left).

Could I have grounded the wrong thing? Could I have grounded a plug on the diagnostic plug that wasnt supposed to be grounded when starting? Or is it the matter of a small fuse? I tried reverting everything back to normal and it still does the same thing....

Please help.

Turns out it was the battery. Jump started it, it ran fine. Let it idle for a couple minutes. Shut it off, tried to start it again 10 seconds later and it did the exact same thing.

Looks like Im due for a optima red top

Are you sure its not the alternator? Make sure you put the battery in another car and make sure its dead..

You might have hooked up to the wrong pin on something and blown the alt fuse.. Have your battery checked before you replace it :thumb:

sounds like an alternator to me as well. Goto autozone or something of the sort to check the battery first. Or try and get a volt reading from the Alt. Check the engine bay fuse box and make sure you didnt fry a relay or fusee while your at it.

Damnit...I shouldve read this a day ago. Just went and bought a new battery ....and traded in the perfectly fine battery. I do believe its the alternator, sine the car only holds a charge for 3-4 minutes now :thumbdown . Had to have my dad follow me home and jump start it every 5 minutes :|

I think I should check the fuses before I go ripping out the alternator. My radio also does not work, and if I remember correctly, theyre on the same fuse.

Ill check it tomorrow and get back to you guys. Thanks for the good advice.

EDIT: When I put ANY load on the power steering system the cluster lights light up.

Hmmm, I have no idea but.. The power steering pump is above the alternator, Lots of times alternators go out from being leaked on.

Looks like Ill probably rip out the power steering, install a manual rack, since I was going to do that anyways.

I also encountered some belt squeeling over the period of 2 hours, it went away, but when it did make noise it was loud. The power steering belt is also very loose, I can make it bend when the press of a finger.
