i recently blew the trans on my 95 2g. it has only 36,000 on it so i was a lil pissed but what are you gunna do. anyway..i was wonderin if anyne had any input on a new tranny..should i go with a tre, one from shep, or my local gu who wants $1800?? the car is a daily driver and i heard that race trans from shep wouldnt be a good idea then...true??....anything will help...thanks guys.... :talon:

Who's the local guy? I had my tranny rebuilt by dogbox racing and they have good prices. Checkout dogboxracing.com and speak with Brian or Alex, they are both good guys.

^^^^I agree with what he said. If you live in NJ, go check out DogboxRacing. They are very reasonable as far as prices go. Brian and Alex were really nice guys and tell you how it is. Talk to them about your goals for the car and they'll let you know what you need vs. B.S. to make a buck. Also, you won't have to worry about shipping the trans either, just drop it off. And it will probably cost you half of $1800, depending on what you want.

thanks alot for the help guys...i jsut spoke with tre and found out they dont do a/t so i was a lil pissed. and on shepps site, the 2 numbers to contact them arent shepp. one is a house fone for some woman and the other some girls cell fone...idiots......thanks for the help guys :talon:

You must have gotten the wrong area code as both of these #'s are working fine.
