ok guys see if you can answer this one LOL....alright ive got the 2g nt and throughout the year ive been buying replacement parts for my tranny, new modular clutch, throw out bearing both seals for axles, both axles both front hubs new slave cylinder, ball joints and arms, and a bunch of other odds and ends... i downed the car a week ago to start taking it apart and im almost there...got the mounts off the slave cylider the battery the lines the ground the starter the reverse line sensor, etc. so here comes the tricky part...(and both sides a of suspension and axles gone). I have all the bolts out of the tranny and got a pry bar in there and got the tranny about an inch away from the fly wheel and clutch so now im saying to myself wtf? this thing she be on the ground? i look under the tranny and i see the its resting on the support bar by the sway bar which i cant move... i tried everything pulling it jacking it up engine hoist...this thing will not fall... does n e one have any tricks they use to get this thing to drop?

ps. when i say the support bar im not talking about the one that holds the front engine mount(roller) i have that arm out already...im talking about the one that next to the firewall...the side of the tranny where the final drive and fill plug are is where its stuck...

thanks guys for any help in advance...

If it's a v-6 then you have a pull type of clutch. Go to a parts house and look at a clutch for it. If it's very very very very expensive, then it's the 3g clutch. There's a little trick to pull it out. You have to remove the slave, push the arm so the tob is being pushed against and then you have to take a screw driver and trip the tob retainer inside the bell housing.

Without seeing, that's all I can think of.

It's very easy when you figure it out.

did you try turning the trans to clear the crossmember? on my awd 1g the side suspension arm gets in the way and you have to rotate the trans on the flywheel to get the bulge pointed up then it clears.
