Transmission will not shift out of first

As the title states, the transmission will not shift out of first. I rebuilt the engine and had the tranny's filter replaced. I put it in one car and it worked fine. I put the engine and transmission in the car to sell it to a friend. I could not get the title for the car so I swapped the rebuilt engine and the tranny with it into another car. The car that the motor and tranny is currently sitting in will now not shift out of first. I am stumped. Careful inspect reveiled that the sensor that is part of the neutral safety switch (sensor closest to the driver wheel) was different so I cut the plug and rewired it back. I am unsure if I wired it correctly. It would be nice if a wiring diagram or other advice is offered.

I would be willing to bet that you may have rewired it wrong. If i had a wiring schematic i would post it but unfortunately I am stuck to using Google for things like that at this point. Sorry I cant be of anymore assistance.
