Transmission stuck in first gear. Please help!!

So today, as im leaving work i noticed having trouble getting into reverse, it took me three tries to finally get in, and drove away, while driving i noticed i was having trouble changing any gear especially 4th, i would have to pump the clutch until it let me come out of gear. Once home i tried to back my car up and nothing no matter how long or if the car was off or on i couldnt get into reverse. all other gears were going in, sometimes it was tougher to go in or come out, then on the last attempt it got stuck in first. It wont come out even with the car off. I can press the clutch in and the car will roll and first gear is working but i cant get out whatsoever. Please help! This is my only car and need it for work on monday

check the master cylinder resivor see if there is even any fluid in it! if not start looking around for fluid dripping or really anywhere you might have a leak in the master to slave line!! or you could possibly have a bad slave cylinder!! the seal could have just got so old and dry rotted it could just be leaking out of there!! but you could also check your shift cables!! i had a 90 tsi and one of my shift cables had just got so old and fryed until it snapped and i could only get into the gears i could push and not pull...those being 2nd 4th and reverse

I was stuck in 2nd before and it turned out, there was rubber hose stuck in my shift linkage and it locked everything up. Pulled it out with pliers.

Ok, so my reservoir is full nothing seems to be leaking form the slave cylinder or the the lines. My shift linkage are clear from everything and still connected. Sadly i dont have an extra set of hands to move the shifter while i watch the cables. after doing more research, im starting to think it might be clutch failure.

No wait! after inspecting my shift cables more i noticed that the one on the drivers side(not sure if its push or pull) the bracket that holds it seems to be loose. is that bracket suppose to move?

ok. i was able to put a screw driver in and got it to come out of gear. Got new hope now . anyone know what bolt thread that is? i cant find anything in my garage that fits.

The bracket is now in place. but i dont have 2nd 4th or reverse. it seems to go and come out of 1st 3rd and 5th fine, although 5th feels a bit weird. any suggestions where to go from here?
