I recently noticed the nice puddle under my tran. It is clearly tran fluid how is the process to replace the seals? is it fairly lengthy and difficult. ? I heard from a friend I could just use RTV and thread to seal it but since it is my tran. I want to do it the best way. Give some ideas? and some of the process feedback

is it Auto or manual?
and what seals are leaking? is it the input and output shaft seals or is it leaking where the trans cases meet? if its the seals you need to replace them and no rtv will fix that. but if the case is leaking you would need to remove the trans and separate the case. but from the factory they used red RTV sadly but i would recommend some Yamabond or Mopar gear sealant. but it does require some knowledge of how to do that. so it might be past what a normal person can do.
