Ok transmission is humming/marbling on deceleration in gear whether clutch is in or not. I dont notice it on acceleration, but all gears do it on deceleration with no change with the clutch depressed. So I took off the tranny end cover to check the buts for the 5th gear fix mod per VFAQ and when I opened it up the gold geart on the top gear set fell out, so the question is does that just sit on the gearing or is something broken?
Update. It appears to only do it in 1st and 2nd gear.
