Okay, so I broke my differential in my 95 GST two weeks ago, and got a replacement differential. I pulled apart the tranny myself to get the old diff. out. Well, I decided to let a "trained professional" put my transmission back together for me. I put it all back in the car today, started it in the air, and the wheels spin in neutral. If I put the brakes on, the car stalls. Apparently the "mechanic" put the damn thing together wrong, and now it's locked in gear. wtf is wrong with this thing?

well your trained professional didn't do a good job probably put the forks in wrong

Yeah, it's times like this that remind me why I don't let other people work on my car 99% of the time. I'm having him come over and pull all the stuff back out, because I'm fed up with this now.

hey man when i bought mine the third gear shift fork was shattered and when i put it back together it was stuck in reverse turns out the fifth and reverse synchro was stuck because the fifth gear side of the synchro was chewed up from someone grinding gears anyways long story short i replaced the synchros and the problem was fixed :laser:
