Got my 6 bolt in, drove it home. Right before I pulled into my driveway, I tried getting into gear and I heard a nice loud thump and then the car almost stalled. Well, i get it into the driveway after having to rev it up to almost 4k just to get it into gear, open up the garage, and it stalls. Twice. I look under the car and notice that the transmission is really hot (the wavy lines coming off of it). I try later to start it and it fires right up, but still hard to get into gear and had to rev it pretty high, thumped a couple times and jumped abruptly the first time I tried. Once I get it into the garage though, I cannot start it (the flywheel is bad more than likely, getting a new one put in tomorrow). The starter would grind and then disengage/spin freely. O well, thats getting fixed.
I push my car out of the garage today to get ready to be towed, and I notice a patch of what looks like oil on the ground exactly where my trans was. Its not black though, its kinda milky. I then look under my car, and the transmission has the same milky oil-like substance on the bottom. It's been out there for about 5 hours so far, and nothing has fallen to the ground, just wet on the bottom of the trans. My dad says its probably one of the seals. I think it could be my transfer case. Because, when I was rolling the car out of the garage (and when it drove for one day), you can hear something kind of grinding in the trans. Not a high pitched one, it sounds like metal rubbing very lightly though (kind of if you try and say "shhhhh") that speeds up as it rolls faster. I haven't checked the fluid level yet or to see if I can find the source of the leak. I will in a little bit. I've just been kind of like, meh, with the whole thing. 5 months to do a swap and it still doesnt run, needs to get towed again to have the flywheel put in, front end has damage and needs new radiator support, needs to be painted because of keyings and paint fading, rear speakers are blown, and now I might need a new trans/rebuilt one. O joy, anothing thing to pay for with negative dollars.
