I have a 1998 Eclipse GSX A/T, i just recently changed the ATF fluid in it. After changing the fluid i noticed 2 days later that my check engine light came on. So i used a diagnostic machine and it came up with a Transmission Control System PG Assembly code. Using another diagnostic machine i narrowed the problem down to pulse generator A and B not working right. Has anyone else had this issue or have any advice how to fix this problem. My car keeps locking up in 3rd and wont downshift, i think its a fail safe for the transmission. :(

universal fluids aren't always the best to use, especially for cars like talon/eclipse they are high maintenance. Best bet is check with your local dealership.
