Transmission help Need some trick

I just replaced my clutch and I have been wresting with my trans for 30 min trying to get it to align with the pins dose anyone have any little trick I can use or anything

You used the clutch disc alignment tool, right? When your floor jack gets the trans up to level just twist and shake the trans until it slips in, and make sure the floor jacks wheels are pointed straight. If the alignment dowels are obviously damaged, smooth them out with the Dremel

I use longer bolts and get it close than start the bolts thru the bellhousing into the engine and push the transmission onto the engine.

I ran into the same problem, I was trying to use a motorcycle jack and was having a hell of a time, (tried for a couple of hours) so this is what I did. I put a pipe across the engine bay, front to back, then jacked the trans up to the right height, then used ratching tie down straps to the front and rear of the trans, droped the jack, and was able to use those to make minor adjustments to the angle of the trans, had it installed in about 10 mins after that. hope that made sense.

Have you guys just tried lifting it up there and putting it in place?

i just put tie down around a piece of wood put the wood across my engine bay jacked it up pulled it tight and then dropped the jack. it just free swung so it was pretty easy to get it on from there.

Alignment tool what's that ? Jk jk yes I used it but I go the trans up there I guess it's just shaking it and moving it to get it in im gonna try and get some help today
