hey fellas.
i was rolling in 1st gear and tried to do lil tire spin since i rebuilding my transfer case and car is FWD at moment...so.... i did try....car poped out from 1st gear and wont run on any gear except reverse :/
any views on what may damaged ?
thank you

Question for you. Look under the hood, and look at the shift cables. Still intact to the tranny? fyi. Not a smart idea to try that LOL.

thank you i take a look :D
also...i can shift in gears and i hear grinding... looks like it wont engage fully.... :/

Umm did you check your shifter bushings. My bushings snapped once and it wouldnt get into any gear, that was after a 1st gear AWD launch LOL. Check your bushings, they are the problem. And, do NOT shift into any gear at the moment, you will ruin your tranny.

well..i can shift into gears, car not running in 1..2...3..4...5..gears...
but i can shift in Reverse and car runs...i checked cables and seems to be ok

Any ideas what problem is ?
Spring on street and I'm trying to figure out something about this car not to give up.... :D
Thanks :D

You say you took you transfer case out to get rebuilt, how did you make your car FWD?? If all you did is remove the transfer case, yes the car will drive in fwd with no transfercase but you will be using you viscous coupling to its maximum and probably ruined it when you tried to burnout.... The only way to make a awd act fwd is to put a welded center diff or a viscous coupler eliminator in. My guess is you fried the viscous coupler, and it will only work when reversed....The good news is that you can just pull the end cover off your transmission and put a new coupler in...a very easy job.

Well what I think he is saying is his transfer case went out. Causing his car to be frontwheel drive. Same thing happened to me. I reved her up droped the clutch and the front tires let loose. Damn thing just started burning out. The transfer case was out but the car still would engage every gear.

Thank You Very Very Much :D
I have tried to remove tranny and hurt myself :/
Now i'm going to check on this coupler and see if it helps :D
Have a Good Time Fellas :D
and remember :D Dont Drink And Drive, Get High And Fly :D

I got a used v/c and i removed my fried one.....but...a lil ball fell inside and i cant figure out why it should be there and how to get this ball outta my tranny. :D
and center rod with many splines what was inside vicious coupler slided inside as well....anything may go wrong ?
Thanks :D

You definitely need to locate anything that fell into the transmission, there's no telling how much damage a loose piece of material could cause if it were to wind up stuck somewhere inside.
