Stuck on the interstate LOL since I have free time waiting on a ride and tow I want to get everyones opinion on what could be the cause. I was driving down the interstate no problems when the car just shuts off. The electrical was still on but engine just quit. First thing I checked was timing belt and its still there. I checked spark its there. It actlike it wants to start when I turn it over it spit and sputters. Just put gas in it this morning. Any help is greatly welcome

Hey every little bit or suggestions helps! I'll be getting out my laser temp reader to see what mine is running at next time.

How can I test the cat without cutting it off? I am going to clean the injectors this weekend and see if that helps

You could unbolt it and start it running open dp which I have heard is bad but I've done it without problems before, just don't drive around with it like that LOL. But if you can start the car and let it idle for a while and rev it up every now and then the cat or the pipes it connects to will be glowing red usually and if you do it long enough it may even start smoking from it. That's the only way I know to "test" it without taking it off.

My girl is having the same ish problem..I think its the crank position sensor..I'm gonna hook it up to a computer this weekend and see if the computer will tell me if that's the case..

Her car will just shut off intermediatly..Then will not like to start up right away..Then will be fine for a couple days..Then do it somemore..And it only happens in the summer..We have had this problem since last summer, but all winter it didn't act up..Then summer came and it started doing it again..

Sounds like the engine computer , does it make a clicking sound behind the radio area and then cuts out ? If so AV PRO IN FORT MYERS will rebuild with a life time guarantee.

BUMP! Im in a bind. Does anyone think it may be the ECU?

I will make a video soon.

Yes .

Yes .

*UPDATE*

Already changed the ECU, crank sensor, cam sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter. The only other options I can think of is test the injectors :(
