I am working on getting my transmission back into my Laser (fwd). I know that there are 3 bolts that go in and then one in the back under the starter. Does anyone know the sizes of these bolts? I have heard 12mm and 14mm but are they all the same length. I tried screwing the bolts in and the stopped about 1/2 in. to 3/4 of an inch away. So I think I might have the wrong bolts. Maybe all I need are some transmission bolt specs.

Thanks

Off the top of my head... not 100% sure but close enough, there are a total of 3 bolts w/ 14mm heads. 2 of which are about an 1.5" from the end of the threads to the base of the head. Those two bolts go underneath the water pipe at the top of the tranny. The third bold will be about 2" in length and goes in front by the the motor mount. There is a 4th bolt that goes in the back from the engine side into the tranny. That has a 12mm head and is about 2" long. Then you have 2 14mm bolts that are about 2" in length that bolt in the starter. Then you will have your 2 12mm bolts that are about 1.5" long that hold in the slave cylinder and a small 10mm and 12mm bolt that secure the inspection plate to the tranny.

Good luck!
