Before you yell, yes I have searched, and although there is adequate info on the site I just wanted to make sure to double check before I go ahead with a purchase. There is a 91 eagle talon TSI for sale, by another student at UTI, where I am currently attending. He had it for sale for 3gs before the transfer case blew out. He said he'll let it go for 2500 but odviously I'll have to have the Tcase replaced. My question is, if I buy this car from him, will I be able to take it to a chrylser dealer and have them replace the Tcase under recall? I know people on here said that they should, or they have to, but are there any limitations to this? I mean if i can get this car for 2-2500 bucks ill do it and then just take it to the dealer. Or does the car have to be stock in order for them to service the Tcase. It seems to me, if it's a recall, its a recall regardless of whether the car is stock or not. But I just wanted to make sure before I bought it, so I know whether or not I can take it to a dealer, or if I'll have to do the work myself. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
James
