Alright, I thought i could get my transfer case recall but it turns out that the bearing is blown apart and it's still full of fluid. I found a parts car thats a manual transmission AWD, but mines an automatic. Is there any difference in the Transfer Case??

Im not sure if they are diff or not, maybe one of the wisemen would know...neone???

The splines should be the same but i think the mounting points are different. If you get one from a 5spd i think you would be able to use the internals from it. did you check to see if the recall was done???

He is one of my friends, and I was talkin to him the other day. The dealer said that the transfer case was full and his tranny was bone dry and the tranny was slippin, and the transfer case bearing was thrown.

I know they are full of it cause I personally checked the tranny and the transfer case when it first broke, and the tranny was full and the transfer case was dry. they told him since the bearing threw and killed the transfer case then they wanted him to pay for a new tranny and transfer case. we were going to just take his car back to my place and buy a wrecked 91 tsi awd that one of my friends has and take the t-case off of it, we checked at auto zone and they said the 2 were the same, but he wanted to check on here. thats why he wont get the recall...
