1997 GSX 70,000 miles. I bought the car and had an inspection done and was referred to a trans specialist. The specialist said the transfer case needs to be replaced. I called the dealer about the recall and they said that the only thing covered by the recall is the yoke. Is this true or are they supposed to replace the whole transfer case? I'm really pissed at this because i have a quote for $860 for the case and $120 for the labor. The damn place i bought the car from is giving me shit about fixing it because its under warranty, so if it is covered by the recall i'll just bi*** at teh dealer instead since the place i bought it from is like 120miles away. THANKS. info needed asap.

Thats what i thought, i'm just having such a problem with the peoplei bought it from. I had my lawyer contact them the other day and they finally called me today, so now i'm going to have my lawyer call back tomorrow. They are offering me $250 to fix it in PA or they will in NY but i honestly don't trust them to fix it with new parts. So my lawyer is going to go for half of the cost or we will be in court just to prove a point.
