Transfer case leak

I was about to do the jb weld fix for my transfer case leak. I was on Vfaq and noticed an update saying now there is a recall. I was wondering is that new info. I dont remember seeing that maybe 6 months ago. Also has anyone with a 2g AWD had any sucess getting that recall done?

thanks i never really checked transfer case threads here. I just went on vfaq and could swear I never saw that recall info. i hate bringing my car to the dealership. I had to leave it overnight for the balljoint recall. I swear they beat on it.

Thats why you get dsmlink and set your rev limiter to 2K. Now they cannot beat on it.

All of my vehicals have aftermarket revlimiters on them, for obvious reasons but also to keep shops from flogging my toys.

That and its fun as hell to let a freind drive your vehical with a 3700 limit on it, just when they think its ok to step into it.. pop pop pop! freaks them out fairly bad!

Before I got link, I pulled off a spak plug boot so it would run like crap. I have a trusted mechanic that I've known since childhood that I have no problem handing the keys over. It's the Belle Tire kinds of places I'm more afraid of.

Anyways, as far as the transfer case goes, if they start giving you too much crap and you are that worried about them flogging on your car, just buy the parts yourself and DIY. It's really not that expensive and should only take an hour or so.

Yeah i know i was gonna do it myself. Then I saw the recall. If i get a whole newcase why not you know!!!
