transfer case hairline crack at output

Hey fellas,
Have a leaky seal in my transfer case, so I took it out and noticed there is a hairline crack on the top of the output
It looks like someone went crazy with some liquid gasket trying to fix it before I got the car
Check it out:

Any insight from the machinist crowd on whether this can be fixed (as in fixed, not a hack)?

Ouch, You might be able to weld it and grind it back into shape.

Well, It depends where the bearing race gets installed. If it gets installed where the repair is done then that could cause premature bearing wear or failure. I would suggest giving the guys at TRE a call and see if he has a spare housing for purchase. WELCOME TO TRE   WE SPECIALIZE IN MANUAL TRANSMISSION REPAIR I think
