I'm rebuilding my first trans in my 2g. I noticed the intermediate shaft had a good amount of play in it and after pulling the 5th intermediate gear I noticed that it has ground into the case adapter a bit. I'm trying to make a list of parts I need and need to know if the case adapter needs replaced and, if so, what is the part number for it or where I could get one. Also, what is the best way to get the races out? Pictures are attached. Thanks guys.

Anyone know about this?

I got your PM, regarding this case section, it "could" be reused IF there is enough material left on the case section for the intermediate shaft tapered roller bearing race. The risk is that being thinner, you now run the potential of getting case deflection causing reduction of shaft preload when the case heats up. If you feel it is not worth reusing, refer to my PM for further information.

Thanks,
