ok so im getting an lsd tranny this week just wanting some pointers on what to look for to make sure it realy does have an lsd in it:hmm:.pics would help:thumb:..never owned one so just wanting to see visual differences that i can actually see..has a kaaz lsd by the way

oh ok so ill just have to trust his word then..im only getting the tranny for a 100 bucks and he said its flawless.i just thought there was a way just by looking into the lil hole to able to tell.but thanks

IIRC on an "open" diff you will be able to see from one side if of the cv shaft input thru to the other. On an LSD you can't.

Also, if it is open and you spin one side the other will spin the opposite, an LSD will both spin in the same direction. Normally this is done with the wheel on and the axle installed, but I don't see why you cant do it by just sticking a cv shaft in there and turning it. You might have to put a little resistance to the other side, but I'm not positive.

wow thanks man that cleared up alot..then it does have an lsd he told me the same thing..he said i will know its lsd soon as i leave to deep side by side black marks on the street..thats good enough for me
