Ok well my transmition shifts like crap. I have missed 4th a few times and got to lission to my engine hit the revlimitor 2-3 times now. 
It sat for 3yrs without movieing an inch when the pervious owner, owned the car. It is a 1990 TSi with only 90,000 miles.
But I think that has the bigest part in it.
If I speed shift into 3rd some times it grinds but it's rare. I have to shift into 4th SLOW AS HELL! or it grings like a mofo or just wont go into gear. The other gears are fine. Except I have to be at almost a dead stop to shift into first gear, and normaly I shift to 2nd first since the 1st gear syncro dont seem to be doing it's job.
If I just go from nuetral to 1st it grinds.
This is all on the stock clutch, which was suposably just replaced before the car was parked and sat for 3 yrs..
I am thinking it's the syncros and the tranny could use a rebuild. So does anyone know of a good DSM shop that could do this. Like TRE or Shep raceing? (I had there websites book marked but I lost them and I wanted your openions anyway) I know I e-mailed Shepard raceing once about it and they said I should do the 90 upgread as well.
Just want to know your openions and what you think I should do about it, so I can figure out how much I should start saveing... *sigh* I could start on preformance stuff but I figure it's pointless if you can't shift
