Well, OK I screwed up I was changing out the VC and I accidentely slipped the reverse synchro back in the wrong way and when we put it back to gether it would grind if you didn't hold the clutch in because it tried spinning. So I opened it back up and the synchro is totally eaten up along with the part you slip it into. Looks like I can take off that big center bolt and take that other part off but I dont know the name of it so I can order it and fix it can soemoen give me a name. Once again its the part where you sit the reverse synchro.

Gosh I'm such an iddiot I took it to a tranny place and I felt really dumb. He said that whole thing is the synchro. So is the reverse synchro an easy fix or should I let a professional handle it? It just looks like I have to take off that big bolt in the center of the synchro. Has anyone done this before? Can someoen give me a part number and where to find it?

one more thing sorry. Are the NT's and GS-T synchrose the same as the AWD?

you messed up the reverse syncro? I'm not sure how a 1g awd tranny is, but on my 2g tranny reverse is NOT syncroed. The gear at the top of the shafts by the big nut you are talking about is 5th gear ... reverse is at the bottom of the trans and it's just an idler gear that's driven by the input shaft. I'll take a look and see if I can find some info on 1g trannies, but I'm assuming it's somewhat similar to a 2g.

I'm pretty sure it's the samehting I'm probably wrong what do I know. It's right there on the side case where the VC is located. If it is 5th gear or any gear it's just right there at the top how hard could it be and price?

I just looked it up and your right it's the 5th gear thats on top. http://vfaq.com/index-main.html scroll down to the thrid pic and look at the pic and read do you think I could fix it by using that? Can someone give me a price on a synchro?
