tranny issues

Ok so now I have a new problem. I had to order the slave cylinder. So the car has been sitting for 5 days now.

I drop the wife off at work. I come home and see a nice puddle of fluide on the car. figured it was from the slave but checked it out. TRANNY IS LEAKING FLUIDE!. there is a 1/4 inch gap between the tranny and the block. I see the ground when i am looking through the top.

With fluid coming out of the tranny between the block and the tranny, would probably indicate
your input shaft bearing seals leaking. If it was oil it would be the rear main seal. Keep us posted.

Is it black/brown or dark red? You need to tighted the trans mounting bolts. If there is enough gap you can crack the bellhousing, maybe even the trans case.

Agreed. Loose bell-housing-to-block bolts can crack the bell housing causing a leak if it;s deep enough. If the trans is pushing far enough away though it could chew up or pull the drivers side intermediate shaft out of the trans enough to leak fluid too.

The tranny shifts fine when the car is off. The pressure plate is diffently gone. clutch does engage or disengage. The leak is kind of a blueish clear color. doesnt have a diffent color. the leak is not coming from where the trann bolts to the block but from where rip the tranny apart.

It is a 5 speed.
