Ok so does the pivot ball just sit in the clutch fork hole or does the clutch fork rock on it. Also is the pin holding the tob and clutch fork together supposed to be around the top of the tob and be almost flush with it? Alost how do i tell if i have a act 2100 or act 2600?

I can answer this part of your post. The pressure plate is the part that would be either the 2100 or 2600 so look at that. It may be labeled.

Yes, the pin goes around the top of the throw-out bearing and the two ends of it go through the two holes in the TOB, and then they go through the two holes in the fork. The pin should fit very flush with the TOB otherwise it may come off. Not to mention you don't want it flying off after you've put the entire transmission back on and you're driving it.

As for the other question. The pivot ball should just sit in the divot on the end of the fork, as far as I know the only thing that your "clutch fork" should rock on is this clip that holds it to the transmission which is circled in the picture.

k thanks.. well i think i broke my reverse lights switch connector.. LOL! .. who needs em? Also I can not get it to line back up. Im using a regular jack.. any special tools i can use or little tricks you guys have for putting the tranny back in.

edit: yes this is my first time doing this. Only 17 but in about a year ill be a pro.

I like to lift the front wiith a jack, axles out, hubs dangling on the tie rod and ball joint, (just unbolt the 2 bolts from the shock and let it hang) Then I push the tranny up under the car and align about where its suppose to be. I lower the front via jack down about as far as i can go then lean over the fender, pick that heavy SOB tranny up and put it on. Beware your arms will feel like jello after you struggle with getting it on for about 5-10 mins. Good Luck

oh im 5 10 145 and can bench 210.. Take pride in that LOL... yea we tried that today.. but we ended up droppping it.... on me.. LOL!

LOL, well awd compared to fwd the awd tranny is prolly about 50lbs heavier so about 150lbs. Your prolly hanging up on that cross member in the back huh, i hate that dam thing, but its a good place to rest that axle input area of the trans, on so you can breathe take a break and try again.

I doubt I can bench 150 LOL
