No filter

There are pumps, like syrop pumps, that you use to pump the fluid through a hose and into the fill hole.

About 3 quarts give or take a bit, mine used almost three when we put in my built tranny before it started to come out.

When you buy your Pennzoil Synchromesh at AutoZone, pick up the screw-on filler tube at the same time.

Fill until it starts to overflow out the fill hole.

Be sure to remove the FILL plug BEFORE removing the drain plug.

I just changed my transmission fluild last night.I put in that lucas transmission fix in it because of that all to common grinding into second gear problem of mine.It seemed to help with not grinding as much so Im happy with it.Oh yeah-and whatever you do dont hop right under the tranny and start to lossen the dain plug thinking its the filler plug.............. It was kinda dark last night and for some reason I actually did it.4 showers and 3 changes of cloths later I STILL smell like burnt gear oil.Good luck man

Yeah- that stink was one of the many reasons I got out of wrenching for a living. Keyboards don't stink nearly so much.
