My 90 laser rs turbo has sat for about 7 years and will be running in a couple days. I want to change the tranny fluid and from hours of reading threads it seem most every experienced dsmer chose pennzoil syncromesh. How many quarts do I need for the job? I'm picking the parts up in a few minutes so does anybody know?

I'm new to the DSMs..but I've done that what u're doing when I killed my tranny.
I have a 95 GST and I bought a brand new tranny....got like 100k mile warranty on it.
On the warranty sheet it sais in BIG letters: FILL ONLY WITH FULL SYNTETIC 10w30 OIL!..so that's what I did(Mobil 1 I chosed) since I don't want to void the warranty. The tranny shifts perfect..have like 3k on it now...but I got a non related to the topic problem with the clutch.
I think filling the tranny up till' the oil runs out on the fill hole is the best way 2 do it.
good luck!
