Tps gone bad or somthing else

ive ben having issues with my car running correctly latly since i put my stock throttle body back on my car. i took the tps off the intake manifold and turned it with my hand. I checked the wideband when i did this. my wideband went lean leaner then 18.0 and then the car dies. is this normal or is this tps my cause of issues check engine light comes and goes. was told the codes were other things but maybe its the tps throwing everything else out of wack thanks for the input
 
You can test the tps with a voltmeter im not sure of the wires to test but you can search on here and find it. And i dont believe your wideband should go lean with just moving the tps. The wideband picks up exhaust which the tps has nothing to do with unless the car is running when you were moving the tps.
 
You need to check the voltage on TPS. The motor does not have to run, ignition should be ON.

There are 3 wires on 1G, each of them is labeled on TPS sensor itself. One is -/minus/, +/plus/ and third one is O/output to the ECU. I am pretty sure you have to measure the " O " wire with ign. ON. The voltage should be 0.47V to 0.55V at idle/throttle fully closed/ and 4.95-4.98V at WOT. In between when you depressing the pedal the voltage should be changing gradually from end to end.
 
ive checked the voltage at the ecu wire for the tps and see 0 when its at idel or closed.. so i need to check the other wires?
