Yep, still going. Car will be on the Slowboy toter. Got some kinks worked out for tomorrow's test and tune and I'm going to leak test it tonight cause god knows that hasn't been done in forever. It should run pretty well. We'll see.

We were originally going to run DSE but since we took a lot of weight out of the car we decided to run the Q16. Should be the only Quick 16 car on pump gas

We're heading to the track this afternoon to make a few passes with some more power. The weather is very nice fora turbo car, supposed to be mid-low 70s and 20-30% humidity.

Blew one of the endtanks on the intercooler apart......twice. Did however better my 60 foot with absolutely NO boost powershifting 2nd gear, and going no where once it actually built a little (blew the IC), 1.45, last time was a 1.48 and actually had power 2nd gear. Car will hopefully fly at the shootout. See ya guys there. Gotta study up for a final.

yeah, did those guys buy a few gallons of pump gas and watch you drain your tank and put the pump gas in and then run 10's?

Or did you get traction and have a 9 second run?

Well the first run we had some breaking up issues. 60 foot was a 1.43 and it felt good but 2nd gear just wasnt working for me. 2nd run we wicked it up a little bit, hooked up hard, then the clutch gave up. So yes, you CAN overpower an ACT2900 with a kevlar disk on pump gas. I decided to not unnecessarily beat on the car and the field was real fast, so I just gave it up and didn't make a 3rd qualifying pass. I'm sure the haters that were there will have all kinds of shit to talk.

My post got deleted for asking how things went. Did you catch any videos of yourself at the shootout? Who were the other cars you were running up against?

So you only got one run in before the clutch went? What was the time on that first run?

Hopefully you got to talk to all the big-wigs about your setup and get some good info from them!!

I have the vids of it running, and the first run I didn't get to make a clean pass. I shut off at the very beginning of 3rd cause there was no point. Threw it in 5th and cruised. 12.6 at 6x mph. The 60 foot was good but that's about it.

Well there were 3 qualifying passes for Quick16. After the events are over, anybody is allowed to make as many time trials as they want.

Sorry I let all who supported me down. The car made consecutive 10sec passes last time out. We just had all kinds of issues. Worked on the car in the parking lot next to the Amerihost until like 3 in the morning night before. I;ll keep you guys updated and hopefully we can get 9's before the season is out.

Haha, yep. Sure was sunny in there. That was after I let out of the car too was the dumb thing. I'm not positive that we will be making it back for Friday. I want to be sure that the car is ready.

Good stuff. I can't speak for everyone in that other thread but I know I wanted to see how far the pump would go cause I don't know anyone that likes paying out the ass for race gas. Like you said it would have been even better if you didn't shit the bed after the launch . Bad ass video man Keep going faster
