I just did some alterations to my gauge cluster. I want to move my oil psi gauge (was canned for a boost gauge). Anyway, I was wondering if I could take the signal leads that originally went to the oil gauge, and run the two wires to the stock boost gauge, so I could turn my boost gauge to an oil gauge. I know the actual electronic mechanisms are different, that's why I wanted to ask someone that might know. I figure if it works correctly -7 would be low pressure, etc. I believe all I'd have to do is move the oil signal wires to the factory boost gauge, and cut the original signal wires going to the factory boost gauge, IF the electronic mechanism could read the signal. After that is done I'll take the face plate for the oil PSI and put it there, would work kinda nice. I hope one of you know electronics and could give me some advice here, thanks!!

WTF

You'll have to can the boost gauge and use the oil gauge itself. I'm pretty sure the gauges are different. I've got a spare cluster hanging around somewhere, I'll check but I'm pretty sure I'm right in that.

That's what I figured I'd have to do, but I'm hopeing that I dont have to. The oil gauge is bit tough to fit in that spot anyway, nor do I remember how to put it back together. That gauge has at least 6 differenct pices that have to go in a pecific order.
