This been on my mind for sometime, I notice just about every established DSM website haves a tuning guide on how to build a fast DSM. They mostly consits of three stages, if I'm not mistaken Buschur developed it years ago. I have noticed that when everyone is building their cars they are all over the place w/different turbos, fuel pumps, injectors and what not and still can't run the numbers they are supposed to run. Are you people saying these formats don't work? Or you can't drive? Or you didn't bother tuning the car and that's the problem. I would like the Wisemen to answer these questions first since they suppose to have the most knowledge and been their and done that under their belts.

P.S
To all those that I offended with my terrible spelling I'm sorry, I been working veryhard at work and I wasn't thinking or reading straight. After reading the post over I realized my stuff was all jacked up! Sorry Defiant please go take your pills.

ya watch the grammar and spelling.
people use different turbos and different set-ups becuase the are all doing different things with their cars. different turbos are of different sizes and they produce different power bands at different RPM's making them better for EX.....street, race, AutoX or a daily fun driver.
The tuning guides are there for a mediator for you to progress with the work on your car. They have 4 stages actually with stage 0 (being free maintenance-like mods) and then stage 1, 2, and 3. The tuning process is also for more serious applications. If you just plan on putting an exhaust and air filter on your car and having fun on summer nights...then you dont need to worry about tuning. tuning is to make your car function the best it can, and achive the most power with what you have installed on your car. things can be adjusted like air/fuel ratio, intake volume, exhast dump and many other things. fuel set-up and "piggyback" systems are also very much on the tuning requirements.
I hope this helped much.

This is a poor thread. Of course some people are doing things wrong. It's been proven if your car is mechanically sound, and you tune properly, those figures can be achieved. Of course people launch wrong, shift bad, etc. The biggest mistake folks make is doing SOME of an upgrade, ie bigger turbo, no injectors/pump/afc. It's been proven that good tuning on a fairly stock car (free mods, mbc, pump rewire, afc) with race gas can net 12's. There are people with thousands in upgrades still running mid 13's...

Asking for "wisemen" only is offensive to others and grounds to get your thread closed. Read the rules. :notgood:

Well the reason I asked for "Wisemen" because the last time I asked the question someone said I should ask a "Wisemen" to look at the thread and answer it. No offense to anyone else, I figured we all can learn a bit from each other. Thanks for the reply!

Wow that other thread was YOU? First of all, you already got good answers in the other thread, AND from wiseman, AND flamed for asking the question, AND for asking for wisemen, AND for poor spelling and grammar, AND for talking sh#t to wisemen when they are telling you what's up. Thanks for opening another thread to cover the exact same thing. I'm done.
