Ask Me,
Virginia
I still have much to learn and it is frustrating like anything else but the previous owner advised that the turbo was a Big 16g whereas I measured that impeller with a dial caliper and discovered that it is a Small 16g.
There are plenty of people that love the Small 16g, but I probably want to go with a Big 16g or EVOIII 16g for a few reasons:
1) Heavier GVR-4
2) Figure that it might be nicer to the 3 bolt Rear LSD that I am in no hurry to replace.
3) Probably better suited to the larger 40mm Tial Wastegate on the car.
4) Tired of "boost fade" e.g. setting the boost at 22 psi and having it fade to 17 psi (I know that the s16g doing that is subjective but I think it has something to do with my problem).
So my question is....provided that the center isn't "junk", wouldn't I have to have some machine work done to have either a B16g or E316g compressor wheel fit in there?
Sorry for the basic question, but I am learning.
Thank you
