okay so after working on my car this whole week i have came to a good point on my car where i am smiling every time i hit the gas i have not seen this since i first laid my eyes on a turbo eclipse its a beautiful thing. but the problem now is every time i boost + 20 psi my pipes fall apart. maybe i need to cut longer couplers to hold the pipes together. its only the charge pipe that i have a problem with. or would making the charge pipe diameter be a better option? good thing i have DSM friends to come to the rescue cause i had to call someone to help me out with the pipe on the freeway after it fell off. so what should i do??? thanks Gary:confused:

Are you using T-bolt clamps? You can use a pair of pliers and flare the ends of the pipe slightly to help hold it on better.

First, make sure your couplers are reinfoced with fabric. (3-4ply silicone)
Next, make sure all your pipe ends are beaded. If they are, you will not have problems blowing pipes off. Also, use ratchet and socket when tightning clamps, not screwdriver. If possible, use t-bolt clamps.
There is no such thing as too much boost for IC piping, if that IC piping at least half decent.

yes i blew the pipe on the freeway and used a dime to loosen and retighten the clamps. i will go out tomorrow and buy some t bolt clamps and get some new couplers. i know theres no such thing as too much boost just iam lacking the right pipes.

If you can't find any T-bolt clamps, I would suggest double clamp each side with regular clamps until you find some. It worked for me for awhile until I got decided to get some t-bolts.

You can also spray hair spray on the inside of the silicone couplers. You have to let it sit for a couple hours for it to set up, but after it does they wont blow off again. You 'll have to put a little more effort into getting them off too when you want em off;)

okay so i went out and bought some silicone couplers for the intercooler. the ones i had before were to short i guess. now it works fine. and i have one hell of a left calf muscle.
