ok tuners....spent the weekend eliminating balance shafts and doing a motor swap. The motor is great no leaks even got the return line to have no leaks (love street elbows from hardware store!) Anyway went to take the car for a spin and pushed the clutch in and went to throw her in first and nothing but loud grinding!! The clutch felt spongy so I bled the lines with every method known to man, still problem occured WTF. I then adjusted the master rod out, still same prob (master is not leaking fyi) and I even tried bleeding some more!! However if I put the car in gear with the car off and then start the car it moves, let the clutch out it dies!!!
To answer some questions... I am tight on funds so I didnt replace the TOB (yeah I know..
) I had my flywheel resurfaced and had a very mildly used pp and stock clutch laying around that i used. However when I was pulling the tranny the slave cylinder did fall apart when i had it sitting in my engine bay...I just stuck the rod back in it and bolted it back up in the end.
My buddies dad thinks that it is the TOB, I however am leaning and and crossing my fingers that you guys lean towards the SC!!!
Oh by the way when I start the car in gear and it moves.. I am literally standing on the clutch when it is moving...
Thanks for your time guys, Ill check back when I wake up to another day of dsm battle
