What are the symptoms of a TOB failure? Would one of them be a clutch thats not disengauging? and have to ajust it all the way out to make it disenguage and then sometimes it still doesnt work?

The first thing would be a schreeching or grinding noise when you push the clutch in as it's a bearing. If it's very bad, you could have problems trying to engage gears with the engine running. You could also have air in your clutch system. I would bleed until you stop getting air out of it. Any air at all can cause the same problems.

Good Luck

This is what im thinking, its just the peddal still has good pressure and doesnt stick at all.

TOB failure = Noise when your freeplay has been cleared in your pedal. Once the TOB is touching the diaphragm, you will hear the noise. This can damage the fingers of the diaphragm which can cause disengagement problems overtime. Just wondering, what exactly is your problem? Whats going on?

Have you replaced the lower clutch line with a braided one?? 2g's have that stupid secondary resviour thingy that bolts to the tranny itself. I know mine trapped air in it and no matter how long I would bleed my clutch for I could not get all the air out and it would give me issues. I had the same problem as you, I couldn't get it into, or sometimes, out of gear(try driving around town with only a 3rd gear it ####ing blows). I finally replaced my lower line with a braided one and all is well now.

I've just started to have this noise and was wondering how bad it is to drive with the TOB in this condition (I can't get it to a shop for another week or two).
