JJay I really dont think this is a racial issue, its a ricer issue. Rice isnt baised to any particular make/model of car, as well as the color of skin. ANYONE, from a trailer park livin' red neck, to a black person, to the hispanic neighbor down the street from you, can go to the store and buy some ghey APC "Tezziez", big floppy body kit, metal wing, or other ricey necessaties. Money talks, white people, black people, asian people, hispanic people, everyone can be ricey.

As for the association question. Im mostly white (quarter black, but youd never guess by looking at me), and thats what I look like, an average white boy. I grew up with mostly black friends through school. My male best friend since 3rd grade is black. My female best friend is Asian. Theres really nothing to prove here. Ill associate with anyone, I dont care about their color. Im sure 95% of the people on here feel the same. I find racist people cowards anyways. They wont make their hatred know till their in large groups of other racists or until their over the net and not face to face......Dayum I hate racists people!!!!

But anyways, like I said before, rice isnt biast. Itll infect everything and anything its allowed to.

Now now, be nice. There is no need for this childish nonsense. I reserve the right to post when I like and I don't post any more than that. I believe the debate on supporting or refuting these mods is a legitimate one, lets not make it foolish with name calling.

I think dieselboy that rice is accepted in certain areas of the U.S.A. and not just tolerated. Everybody is not that against it. I still say that it is culturally based. A white kid dresses different than a black kid and vice versa. An Asian guy dresses different than an Arab american or East Indian guy. We are all different and all live in different places and like different things. I don't want us all to like the same or do things the same and to me that is what rice is. Rice is doing things your own custom style.

I still think it is a subliminal racist statement. I also think that the vast majority of DSMtuners are more into go fast mods and could care less about aesthetics of a car so here on these webpages .........I guess that should be noted and respected, however all that talk about rice being an epidemic or disease is silly.

I have been saying this the whole time. It is just cultural differences and personal choice differences that are a result of your environment and your own individual tastes. As long as I don't get a slow car and act like it is fast with a wing, loud exhaust and some stickers of performance parts that I don't have in the engine on the side of the car while talking crap and trying to race everybody ...............then I can sleep good at night knowing I am not a ricer.

In the DSM community here on these pages doing any aesthetic changes to your car is going to be called rice.......that is just the way it is here on these pages, but in the real world this is not necessarily the real definition of rice. There will never be a universally accepted definition. Peace out.

The most popular and long standing opinion on what rice means (gaudy bodykits, excessive spoilers, racecar-looking stickers, etc) is not as popular in the DSM (especially turbo DSM) scene as it is in the Honda scene. That is why we group the topic into a generalized forum. There's no need to argue about the term here. Take it somewhere else.
