To Re-size eagle rods or not to?

This is the only fourm I can seem to post in. Long story short I had a 2.3l stroker which lost oil pressure because the oil filter housing came loose. Well now that I has my block towrn down one guy told me that I need new rods and pistons. I only have about 2,000 miles on the new engine. My machinest said that I can still reuse the rods and he would have to re-size them and they will be good to go. Also pistons are fine. What do you guys think?

I would buy the correct rods rather than risk another engine.

I'd like to get started on my stroker... but some douche pulled one over on me and sold me a set of (regular) Arias Pistons after telling me they were Arias Stroker pistons and now I'm stuck with them as they claim the deal was "AS-IS" So Now I need to get rid of these damn things before I can buy the stroker pistons. I spoke with Nick Arias the other day and he said he'll make me a deal when I get rid of the pistons I bought. :/

Well that sucks, sell them here on the forums, not everyone is looking to go stroker.

I've listed them in the classifieds with a Ported/Polished 2G intake manifold for $385 + shipping

I had a few people email me but they think my price is too high considering I spent $575 for them and ExtremePSI wants $475 and SBR wants $650 . I dunno, they are NEW and UNUSED I'm just so frustrated since I was ready to start assembling my engine.

Yeah I feel ya, when you spent so much money for a certin part and your ready to move forward, then you find out it wont work that way really bums you out.

I just wish the douche bag hadn't lied to me. If he didnt know what he had, he should have just said so. I've tried a few times to get him to fix the deal but My loss really. I would gladly sell off my Eagle H-Beam rods with the .040 Arias pistons if someone was willing to give me $750 for them I would even include my 2G ported/polished intake manifold. That would get me my money back and help me in getting the stroker pistons + rods combo.

are your rods for a 7 bolt? If so I need new rods, my pistons are fine. How much would you sell the rods for?

I really would like to sell them as a pair or just the pistons alone. If I sold the rods I'd still be stuck with the pistons and have to then sell those just to buy the "combo" or stroker pistons alone :/
