To much fuel??

I gotta a problem, it's all I've had since I bought this car. Lol. So anyway now my 1991 Talon is having trouble starting. And when it does it will shoot to 3000 RPMS, and cut out, or if I give it a quick shot of gas it will cut out. Heavy grey smoke from the exaust also.

have you tested for any codes out of the ecu?
