Guys -
I'm fighting flaky timing problems coupled with part-throttle knock.
I'd like to verify that my CAS is installed & indexed properly.
I cannot get my base timing under 7 degrees BDC (yes, I grounded the timing connector on the firewall). The CAS is turned all the way counterclockwise but won't go any farther because the connector is hitting the TB elbow bracket & the CAS is maxed out in its adjustment bracket.
My Haynes manual doesn't help - timing adjustment is in there, but not CAS replacement.
Could you throw a little practical knowledge/experience my way?
Thanks!
