Tips on buying used drivetrain parts!!!!

This september Im doing the clutch!! Instead of buying new parts Im going to be lookin for used things!!!

What should I be lookin for when buying the parts? How can I tell if the product was broken into right

Make sure there's no grooves or obvious wear on them. Hot spots are fine. Hot spots should be fairly evenly distributed, otherwise they might be pointing to warpage. A wear groove on the clutch plate fingers is normal, but you have to make the call on what's excessive.

The disk should have friction material above the rivets, about 1/16", and you should see the factory grooves in the friction material. Make sure the hub and springs look intact.
